I’ve long held a vision of myself creating a space where inquirers can come, heal, sip tea, touch a crystal and meditate or contemplate whatever arises for them in consciousness. A place with a spiritual library where books are available to read or borrow and where tattered pages may be stained with the occasional splash of tea – and that is OK, the value of the book is not diminished. A place with a garden where one can walk and seek inspiration.
This magical place would be full of spiritual energy from deep inside the earth where the student of inner knowing could meditate and seek wisdom in the beauty and abundance of nature. A calm and tranquil space but busy too. Where nature abounds, children play, birds chirp and wind chimes sound in the distance. Chickens too. There have to be chickens – they’re so earthy and practical.
I’ve also known that I belong there – that I am her; modern mystic, bringer of light, in residence. Listening to my own inner calling and the messages from the spiritual realm – metaphorically pulling tinctures from the apothecary jars behind me and trimming herbs hanging on a drying line into a cup. While I await the next visitor to arrive, I might channel a thought into a message for my blog, jot down an idea for a podcast or doodle a sacred geometric form that holds meaning only to me as I drink from my own cup of brew while whistfully daydreamimg about that one time I remembered I was a mermaid. I pull together an astrological chart and share wisdom gleaned from the stars with anyone who inquires. In fact, I’ve long held that this dreamy place would include private rooms where healers and mystical teachers would convene with inquiring souls and together we explore past lives, envision radiant futures, and do the profound work of remembering who we truly are and why our souls chose to incarnate here, now.
That place is now manifest on the Hawaiian island of Maui as Hale O Kauka Healing Garden, a modern Ashram where guests are received by invitation to visit and live in residence. It is a micro farm, meditation garden, private residence, home office of Root Untethered and meeting place for healers to collaborate and for anyone who wants to become past life aware, envision their greatest future or do the deep work of remembering who they are and why their soul chose to incarnate to the earth now.
